Victoria Beckham’s New Denim Line

Victoria Beckham, wife of British soccer star David, launched her debut denim collection in New York to a crush of photographers, television cameras and journalists. Victoria’s jeans are hugely popular and are high in demand. Wearing white jeans, silver high heels, and a sparkly, silver singlet top, Beckham posed for photographers — who, a security guard said, outnumbered fans — before heading upstairs to sign autographs for about 70 fans waiting in line.
The current clothing item of choice for the celebrity bad girl seems to be a pair of denim shorts. Which of these female hell-raisers do you think looks best (or should I say least worst because they all look pretty ropey).

The DVB Denim collection is a collaboration with Western Glove Works - the company behind 1921 Jeans and one of the oldest denim businesses in the world. Victoria’s previous venture into denim was an extremely successful range of jeans produced in partnership with Rock & Republic. Read more!

Get The Look

Being fashionable doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Try these suggestions:

1. Luckily, jeans are in. And they don’t have to be designer labels. Most chain stores have affordable jeans in a range of styles and fits. Check out great range.

2. Update colours with a bootle of dye. All natural fibres can be successfully dyed - just remember to use a cold dye with silks and woollens.

3. Sparkles are hot this season, and you can give your wardrobe a simple lift with a glittery wrap of some sparkly beads.

Make It Last

Get the most from your favourites with these simple tips:

1. Try not to wear the same shoes two days in a row.

2. If you hit on the perfect combination, drawn from all your bits and pieces, write it down so you can pull it together again.

3. When you find a basic (shirt, T-shirt, jeans) that you love and that fits you well, buy two if you can possibly afford it. Rotate them, or save one for when the first wears out.

4. Wash and iron clothes inside-out. Read more!

Big Hair, Big Clothes and Big Music Make Big Memories of the 80s

What were you doing in the decade of power suits and power hair, overdone makeup and jewelry, tasseled socks and silver-adorned leather boots?

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you weren’t around in the decade of excess… the ’80s!
Funny thing, while I was living in that time, I was fascinated with the fact that every other decade had defining fashion styles… the ’50s had poodle skirts and bobby socks, the ’60s had hippy chic, the ’70s had sparkly disco shirts and leisure suits, and the ’80s… had nothing. At least that’s how it felt at the time!
