The ‘Mean Girls’ star - who made her modelling debut in the fall campaign for Mui Mui - has a new modelling contract and set to be the face of designer Jill Stuart’s latest collection. According to Page Six, Lohan will shoot the ads for her new campaign in Japan over the next days.
She recently completed a modeling gig as the new face of Miu Miu fashion house, which was a huge success.

While in Japan, Lindsay Lohan plans to visit orphanages. She said: “I’m going to Japan soon with my friend Charlotte Ronson, who’s a designer, and I’m researching some charity work that I can do and visit some orphanages.”

Actress and model, Sienna Miller is planning on launching her very own fashion label with her big designer-sister Savannah Miller. They plan to launch an 80 piece ready-to-wear fashion collection called ‘Twenty8Twelve’, based on Sienna’s birthday of December 28th, for fall 2007. Sienna clarified that she has always loved fashion, and Savannah got a first in design at Saint Martins and further thought to pursue it together, but happened organically. According to The Bosh, the notoriously private Savannah said of their new project: “People wanted us to put the line in our names, but we wanted it to be more abstract.”

Over the past couple of years, seems Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan’s years of hard work trying to make the transition from tacky teenager to fashion icon has finally has paid off in the form of a highly-coveted ad campaign. She started the process by ditching her Britney Spears stage show worthy ensembles and enlisting celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe to assemble a closet full of Marchesa and Marc Jacobs.
She has been selected as the face of Miuccia Prada’s Miu Miu line, following in the footsteps of Rachel Evan Wood, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Sevigny. Lindsay posed for the brand’s Spring 2007 ads in London during the weekend. WWD reports that Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were the photographers.

During the program she was supposed to be hosting, Lohan stumbled on steps, flubbed her lines and abandoned her emcee role early in the show.

What were you doing in the decade of power suits and power hair, overdone makeup and jewelry, tasseled socks and silver-adorned leather boots?

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you weren’t around in the decade of excess… the ’80s!
Funny thing, while I was living in that time, I was fascinated with the fact that every other decade had defining fashion styles… the ’50s had poodle skirts and bobby socks, the ’60s had hippy chic, the ’70s had sparkly disco shirts and leisure suits, and the ’80s… had nothing. Instead, Posh Spice will be launching herself into her fashion career; after already designed a range of jeans for Rock & Republic and host fashion TV Show, she now wants to create and entire clothing line.
She said, “I’m done with music and I’m never going to act. That’s in the past. I was an okay singer and an okay dancer, and I had to work at it.

To all Halifax fashionistas, prepare yourself, CBC Television is holding a national search for a new Fashion File host and auditions will be held in Halifax on Sept. 27. Fashion File: Host Hunt” will travel across the country testing hopefuls on their knowledge of fashion and style to replace longtime host Tim Blanks, who is leaving the show as the voice of the influential show after 17 years. Ten finalists will then be flown to Toronto to compete for this dream job.

Inspired by subjects as varied as icon Mother Teresa to the sunflower and 160 buyers, 75 designers responding, India’s top designers are readying to showcase their spring-summer lines at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) that kicks off Wednesday, the first time two such shows will be hosted in a year in keeping with international practices.
We are not trying to spring surprises every time we host a fashion week,” says Rathi Vinay Jha, Director-General of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), about India’s largest fashion bonanza. “Our main aim is to enhance the business potential with each event.”

Coming close on the heels of the fall-winter edition in April, the Aug 30-Sep 3 event marks a quantum leap forward for Indian fashion as it is the first time the country will be hosting two shows a year in line with international practices. Read more!

THE rock singer Bryan Ferry has been unveiled as the latest famous face to promote Marks and Spencer’s menswear range. The retailer is hoping the Roxy Music frontman will boost sales of its Autograph clothing range. Ferry said: “Marks & Spencer is a great British brand and I’m very happy to be associated with it.”
Bryan Ferry is no stranger to the fashion world himself, having collaborated for many years with fashion designer Antony Price - famous for his shop on London’s Kings Road.
Marks & Spencer marketing executive director Steven Sharp said: “He’s a real British style icon and looks amazing in the Autograph range. What man wouldn’t want to look as cool as Bryan Ferry?”

The Roxy Music singer was photographed by legendary snapper David Bailey for the High Street store’s autumn campaign, which will be called ‘Autograph’. The adverts will appear across the country from September. Read more!

Sportswear giant Reebok have signed a multi-million dollar deal with Scarlett Johansson to help create their Scarlett ‘Hearts’ Rbk range - a new “high-end signature line of retro-chic footwear and clothing”. “Reebok has a rich heritage in developing and designing cutting-edge women’s product which makes them an ideal company to partner with to launch Scarlett ‘Hearts’ Rbk,” the 21-year-old actress said in a statement. “I am very enthusiastic about working with Reebok to design this line.”

The clothes and shoes, which the company describes as being for the “multi-dimensional woman” will debut in high-end department stores and boutiques next spring. “This is so surprising. Even though she loves to shop, Klum has a strict set of guidelines as apparently hates the sight of the elastic-waisted maternity jeans so much, that she has now called on designer pal Scott Morrison to make her a customised pair of denims for each month of her pregnancy.

Linda Evangelista, 41 and pregnant, being the first model, not a Hollywood star, to be featured on the magazine’s cover in more than a year as she is on the cover of the August issue of Vogue 2006. It’s her 10th cover for the Vogue magazine and she isn’t worried about the effects of pregnancy on her supermodel figure. “I’m not freaked out at all,” she tells the Associated Press. “I embrace it. I believe I’m doing everything to go through this as smoothly as possible. I’m either doing yoga or exercising every day.”

Hong Kong Fashion Collection Award, a highlight of Hong Kong Fashion Week held for the sixth consecutive year — one of the world’s leading fashion-industry sourcing events launched Friday.
The Award is a show-cum- contest that aiming to discover and encourage local talents clothing enterprises to start their own collections and brands. The Million Dollar Baby star, who has modelled for Calvin Klein, will front the advertising campaign for the Insolence scent.

The company’s president and chief executive, Renato Semarari, enthuses: “She’s a very, very talented actress.”
